Australia and the Pacific Islands
The region has a diverse mix of economies, from the highly developed and globally competitive financial markets of Australia and New Zealand to the much less developed economies that belong to many of its island neighbors.
Hyperion’s programs in OCEANIA are targeting four specific areas of reginal and economic development.
Like our operation within CEMAC, many of these smaller economies require resources that cannot be internally generated and rely on G-to-G foreign aid or specially developed NGO Aid programs.
Hyperion’s is investing up to AD 100 million in the Commercialization of Microwave based Pyrolysis of Industrial and Social waste, into Bio Diesel, Carbon Char and Distilled water. Partnering with QUT and AECOM for Engineering and consulting support the pilot program will be built in Queensland at a cost of AUD 25 million. The program will grow with regional deliveries of scalable plants and will be fully operation by the end of 2030.
These portable and scalable plants will then be marketed into the South Pacific and CEMAC, enabling plastic waste to be converted into Bio Diesel, Carbon Char and Distilled water.
Hyperion’s is also investing in the health sector of Queensland, with the design and development of mobile dialysis, day surgical and mental health clinics. The program will invest AUD 50 million initially on ten mobile units, with the first unit being available circa last quarter 2026, the goal being to expand this investment 2027 onwards placing these units throughout the South Pacific.
On the successful launch of these mobile health clinics Hyperion’s investment will primarily become philanthropic.
